Coronavirus Update

Your health and safety is our top priority

To ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, we continue to monitor the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and to proactively ensure our patients and workforce remain safe.  We are asking patients about their recent travel history, potential exposure to the virus and if they are exhibiting symptoms of respiratory infection, including:

  • Fever greater than 100.4°F/38°C
  • Coughing or
  • Shortness of breath

Patients and caregivers with questions or concerns should contact us.  If you are exhibiting any of these symptoms, your appointment must be rescheduled.  Please call 563-386-8885.

What patients need to know before they arrive

  • Only 1 patient with 1 significant other will be allowed per appointment.
  • Only 1 patient with 1 significant other will be allowed in our clinic at a time, thus practicing good social distancing from other patients. Chairs will be provided outside of our office in the hallway.  Once we are finished with the appointment before you, and our staff has had time to adequately disinfect, we will allow you in.
  • If you are being seen for a hearing aid clean and check appointment, after being allowed to enter, we ask that you leave your hearing aid at the front desk in a drop-off container. Unless further investigation is warranted, we will only be servicing the hearing aid.  You may take a seat in our waiting room until the aid/s are ready.
  • Prior to our staff handling your phones for hearing aid pairing purposes, we will be disinfecting them with wipes.
  • Patients must have scheduled appointments.

Thank you for your patience.  This is a very unique time; we are working diligently to follow current guidelines and to ensure that you are treated in a safe and effective manner.  Your safety is our first priority.

Thank you,  Dr. Micheal C. Hartman and staff
